Wow! It has been a whole week since I posted! I just can't believe how fast the time goes! Anyway, this is a hit and miss post! Just had to get caught up! We are trying to get our baby gifts done! I have to think of something really special to get for them besides the handmade gifts! This is hard! I am not the type that would run out and buy them a silver spoon. I am going to have to put a lot of effort into this really fast since we only have a little over a week! It needs to be something practical, nice, and yet when they see it they can say, that is a gift from Aunt Vickie and Uncle John!!!(even if we are greats!) I asked John what he thought! Why did I ask him.....he said what ever you think! That was helpful, wasn't it?!!! I am on my own! I think I just might ask the parents to be, if there is anything that they can think of! Is that proper?!!!
Anyway, here's a few pictures of a week that was a blurrrrrrr.........
Can I just say this is one of my most favorite books ever! I love to make hand sewn things! This has the smallest projects ever and they are so pretty when you finish! I just made my friend a gift from it! I am not going to show a picture, because she may see it and I haven't given it to her yet! It is wrapped and on the table, though! The same author has a book titled, Wagashi! I love it, also!

posted!(at New Year's time!) It was so easy and so good! It is gone!!! I was so proud of myself!!! So was everyone else! I was always afraid to try them! They sound so gooey!!!!
This is Gayle and Lilli this past week! Uncle Dale and Aunt Connie got Gayle the pink top for Easter and we thought she looked so pretty in her pink that we should take a picture!!! How time flies! Gayle is going to be 27 and Lilli will be 11!!! If someone would have told me, I would have my children 16 years and 12 days apart, I surely would have laughed at them!!!! I did have to ask God when we were expecting Lilli, if he was sure he got the right MOM!!!LOL!!!

This is what our house looked like on Friday....yes Friday not Saturday from 8:00 to 9:00 at night to celebrate EARTH HOUR!!! I know you all know how technically challenged I am, but I think I can read! Lilli says I can. We read a post somewhere that Earth Hour would be on Friday, March 28, 2008 from 8:00 to 9:00 pm!!! We were so excited! We got the candles out and some games! We got a snack out!!! Ready to go! John even shut down his computer! We celebrated! Not until the next morning did we hear on CNN it would be Saturday from 8:00-9:00pm!LOL!!! Oh, well for once this year we were early for something! We had a lot of fun!!! We are actually thinking of doing this once a week!!!
We started something new on Sunday.... COOKING with GRANDMA BARB!!!!
If ever there should have been a chef, it should have been Grandma Barb!
She has a ton of cookbooks(I am not exaggerating), handed down recipes, not to mention the ones she makes up!
It was a lot of fun! Lilli loves it! We all do, especially when it is time to eat!!!
We can't wait until this Sunday! We are going to learn to make meat balls!!!
The only thing I would wish for is a "Kitchen Fairy!" Do you know, are there such things?!!!
I will share pictures of Cooking with Grandma Barb tomorrow!!!
Wherever you are, whatever you are doing, I hope you have a wonderfully happy day!!!
Love, Vickie
