Cookies, Art and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!

You know I told about our trip in my last post, well these are the cookies we made to take with us! They are so yummy! We love them! I know they should be Nestle's but they aren't! I love the one from Crisco! I was raised on the Nestle's but for some reason the Crisco is better for me!

I know not many of you know this, but I love collecting recipes from others and I have over 300 recipe books! Not that I needed anymore, but I put all of our favorite cookie recipes in one little book! We called it COOKIES, COOKIES, & COOKIES! I had so much fun! I included a recipe of mine growing up and one of John's when he was growing up! I can't believe that was 5 years ago! I have always meant to do another one of breads and brownies, and then another one of muffins and more! I hope to get them made soon! I was able to sell quite a few and of course I gave quite a few for presents!

This is a picture from last week that I just had to share! It was art class and Lilli thought Gayle should get in on the act! We are sure Gayle really enjoyed it!

Today is a special day! It's my brother's birthday! We are only 11 months apart! For 26 days we are both 47! My mom always said she was sure it would have been easier to have had twins! We are very close! He is not just my brother but my friend!
