I GOT MAIL!!

Yes! I got mail!  Just look at the size of this box!  I knew it was coming and just couldn't hardly wait to get it in the house and open it!  I mean it's not everyday you get a box like this one!
This wonderful snowman quilt was inside!(sorry about the picture)  I know I can't hardly believe it!
It is amazing, isn't it?!  And it's mine!  About 11 years ago Aunt Barb(she lives in Florida and I live in Indiana) asked me if I would be interested in doing a snowman quilt together!  Of course, she knew it would be way one sided since I have never quilted, but I said yes, yes, yes!
Anyway, she did all of the cutting, the piecing of the log cabin squares, the tree squares and I only had to do the snowmen squares!  She cut all of my snowmen out and ironed them on the squares and I was set!
To make a long story short, life got in the way, and it took us 11 years to finish it!  She did a beautiful job!  It is gorgeous!  I love it!  I will post better and more detailed pictures tomorrow!  Thank you so much Aunt Barb from the bottom of my heart! I love it!  It will be a family heirloom for sure!
Tune in tomorrow for more pictures!

Wherever you are whatever you are doing I hope you are having a wonderfully happy day!

Monday Mail......and other stuff!

Yes, it's Monday and I(we got mail) from my aunt in Florida! I just love snowmen and she tries to add to my collection every year! Here is the new for this year! Isn't he adorable! I love his buttons and that face is tooo sweet! Thanks Aunt Barb!
Another one of my favorite things....my quilt or bedspread that my Grandma Helen Lovell made for me when I was 5, that makes it 43 years old! I treasure it so much and I'm blessed to have it! It was on my bed forever and I wore a bad place in it. One year for my birthday, my parents had it repaired! The lady that repaired it only used a machine. The rest of it is all done by hand with lots of love! A close-up!

And a not so good not so close up picture!

You sure can tell it's Monday, can't ya? Kiki the cat has found him a new best friend and all they do is sleep! One afternoon last week, Kiki had been left in the computer room for most of the afternoon and when we found him he had snuggled up to this gorilla! He won't take a nap in the house without it!

Wherever you are whatever you are doing I hope you have a wonderfully happy day!

Not Waiting and Mail!!!!

I just can't wait to post one day more! You see I wanted to wait until I got some things ready for etsy so I could show you, but who knows when they will be done! I have them well under way, but I just can't seem to finish them up! Hopefully, before the weekend is over!!!

Do you see this book? Well, we ordered it to make sure we are on the right track! Can I say I want to rename this book? I do! I think it should be named everything a 47 year old mom needs to know if she has a home schooler in the 5th grade!!!! Much more appropriate! After scanning the 362 pages, I am almost sure I don't know a lot of it now! Lilli knows way more than me!!!!LOL!
Who knows after we get through with the 5th grade, we might be able to start college!!!LOL!!! Just kidding!!!! You know you have to have some fun in the mail! We ordered these two books! I haven't got to read The Crafter's Companion yet, but it looks very good! I love stories about people who are creative and I love to learn about their spaces!! Lilli is really into embroidery right now! It won't hurt me to touch up on my stitches either!!!
Well, I will go for now!
I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Wherever you are, whatever you are doing, I hope you have a wonderfully happy day!

Another post for today!

I was so excited when I got the mail today that I had to share with you!
My cupcake swap partner is so sweet! Look what she sent me from Scotland!
A postcard of the Cairngorms National Park! It is really very beautiful in person! I wish the picture would have turned out better! Thank you so much, Linda!

Well, because we are in dire need of comfort this week, I had to have something very sweet for breakfast with my coffee! I found this recipe, Iced Raisin Biscuits in the new Simple and Delicious magazine! Let me tell ya, they are wonderful, simple, and delicious!
Okay, I am really finished blogging for today!

Wherever you are, whatever you are doing, I hope you are having a wonderfully happy day!
