Creating and Dandelion Wishes!

Hi there!  I hope everyone is having a great spring!  I can't believe spring has sprung and we only had 9 inches of snow.  What an awful winter.  I mean when you can hang clothes on the line in February in Indiana there is a problem with the weather!  We have been mowing the yard for over a month. Ugh...  Now we have had a cool spell with the tempature in the 30's at night.  I'm so happy I haven't planted my garden and flowers.  I can't wait for it, though.  I mean if it's gonna be spring I might as well get excited about it!  In fact, I am learning to love dandelions with their brilliant yellow color and their simplicity!  They are wonderful!  My two new favorite things for this spring are swinging in the tree swing and making dandelion wishes!

On to what I have been making!  My niece's boyfriend's sister had a baby boy not long ago and they did his room in giraffes.  I used to make these for my friends years ago. Isn't he adorable?!! It's from a Country Stitches pattern, Two by Two by Brenda Gervais.  Love him!
I love this magazine!  Do you have it?  I was at a Kroger store in Greenville back in March.  The cashier said they had just put it out 4 days earlier and they only had one left!  Lucky me!
I have had this line of fabric, Birchtree Lane from Connecting Threads for almost a year, and decided I just had to use it!  Well I did!  I made the table runner from the book!  As you can see I actually made 3!  I have to order some yardage to finish the back!  I don't  have enough to finish the backs even if I piece it!
Oh, and don't you just love the colors in this quilt top?!!!  It is Riviera from Connecting Threads!  I have had this line for at least 2 years!  It is so colorful!  I had just enough for this big log cabin block, from the magazine, for the front, back, and binding!
I am also working on the zippered bag from the magazine!  It is going to match a tote that I have already finished!  When I get the bag done, I will post a picture of both!

Wherever you are whatever you are doing I hope you have a wonderful day full of dandelion wishes!
