It's Friday.... a recipe and lots of hodge podge!!!

Well, it's Friday again! Can you believe it?!!! I can't ! To make matters worse there is only 20 more days until Christmas! Can it go any faster!!!!

Here is my recipe for the Recipe Box Swap!
PEANUT BUTTER CUP COCOA
4 cups milk
4 cups half and half
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 cup unsweetened cocoa
1 cup creamy peanut butter
2 T vanilla extract
mini peanut butter cups..optional
whipped cream..optional
In a soup pot, combine the milk, half and half, sugar and cocoa over medium heat and cook
until the mixture just begins to boil, stirring constantly. Remove from the heat and add the peanut butter and vanilla. Whisk until smooth and creamy. Garnish with a dollop of whipped cream(or cool whip) and peanut butter cups cut in half! Serve immediately!
WARNING.....this is very rich but comforting!!!
I'm sorry there is no picture, but we ate all of the peanut butter cups! Darn! This is our favorite hot chocolate recipe but it is for really special occasions! ENJOY!!

Here is our dog! He gets slided on here so I had to blog his picture! He is a Great Pyrenees! He weighs around 140 pounds unless he jumps on you and he feels like about 200+! He is so sweet! His name is Buddy!I had to share my most favorite ornaments! I have had these since I was 12! I bought them for $3.00 at an elementary craft fair, with quarters that my Granny Kate would give me when I did a shore for her!

They are made out of dough!

Who would have thought, my mom as Martha Stewart!!!! Just kidding! However she made this bird in 1959 and...

here is Martha's birds in her December 2008 issue! My mom was ahead of her by about 50 years! lol! Anyway, I love my bird and am happy that I have it!

I hope you all have have a great weekend!

Wherever you are whatever you are doing I hope you have a wonderfully happy day!

How special your ornaments are. I don't have any ornaments from when i was a kid. :o( I suppose my mom has them all packed away someplace....when we finally get our stuff out i will have to take pictures of some of my favorites. :o) Thanks for the idea! :o)

Peanut butter cocoa sounds interesting! It always amazes me how many ways Americans can incorporate peanut butter into recipes. As Christmas falls for us in summer we don't really get into hot holiday drinks. Fruit punches are quite popular during the festive season.
